ATM's Principal David Welsh has led design and development of fiber optic interconnection systems for more than twenty years. He has designed and developed numerous optical interconnection systems for single mode and multimode fibers, using butt joint and expanded-beam technology, and has also developed fiber optic cables and large scale optical switching systems.
