David Welsh |
David Welsh founded ATM after leading
the mechanical engineering team at Calient Networks,
where he focused on mechanical and optical
packaging for large scale optical cross-connect switches used in
network applications. That relationship continues, as Calient is now
a major client.
Previously,
he held engineering and
management positions in the electrical connector and wiring industries, most recently as
Engineering Manager at Sabritec. Prior
to that he was Vice President of Engineering for Noma,
New Product Development Manager
for ITT Cannon, and Manager
of Research and Development
for Microdot Connectors.
His background
as project engineer and technical manager includes design, product development, manufacturing engineering,
quality engineering and quality management.
He
has been awarded seventeen US Patents, authored two
books and many magazine and journal articles, and received Best of Session and Best Paper
awards from the International Institute of Connector and Interconnection Technology.
