Optical Switching System
Calient Networks
This optical switching system packaging project involved developing a
modular, pluggable chassis -- a complex packaging effort with hundreds of fiber optic
connections -- for a 256 port cross-connect switch and its associated electronics. This
chassis is installed in a custom enclosure and rack, together with a power supply
module, input/output and control modules, cooling systems and fiber management hardware.
This assignment included project management and prototype development.
